Dock-to-Dune Week Camp (7–11yr)

Service Description

Dock-to-Dune Week Camp is our full-week “everything camp” for young anglers. We fish multiple types of water and access points—surf, bay, jetties, beaches, banks, piers, boats (depending on availability) and docks—so campers learn versatile skills and we can go where the fish are each day. Because we adapt to tides, wind, surf, water clarity, and access, meet-up locations may change daily within North Padre and surrounding areas. Families receive the daily meet-up details in advance. Our goal is simple: we don’t want to limit a fisher’s opportunity—if conditions are better somewhere else, we move. Throughout the week we coach: safe casting and spacing, knots and rigs, bait and lures, reading water and structure, fish handling, ethics, and stewardship. Select sessions may include hands-on guest appearances from local experts and mentors (guides, experienced anglers, conservation partners, and community leaders). Guest participation varies by date and availability. Final Day Highlight: we celebrate by cooking our catch with a local chef guest mentor and learning age-appropriate “catch-to-kitchen” basics. We provide all necessary fishing equipment (rods, reels, tackle, bait as needed, and program gear). Campers may bring their own labeled gear if preferred. Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided. If food sensitivities or restrictions apply, this will need to be noted at signup - severe allergy students may need to have alternate accommodations. Limited transportation between fishing sites may be available to support staying mobile. Transportation to/from meet-up locations may be arranged separately if needed (limited availability; we’ll confirm after booking). Income-based scholarships are available for qualifying families (apply online). Weather & Safety: Coastal conditions change quickly. For safety, we may adjust locations/times/activities. If a day is canceled due to weather or safety, we may reschedule or offer a make-up option when possible.
