OTB Summer League (12-17 Advanced)

Service Description

Teen Advanced is the highest-level League track—structured like a youth sports league with higher expectations, faster progression, and real competitive development. Weekly schedule: 5:00–7:00 PM (2 hours) plus additional weekend competition days. Weekend competition days may include extended/full-day fishing, local tournament participation, and select boat opportunities (as available). We fish across surf-access and land-access environments—bays, docks, piers, banks, and (when appropriate) jetties—staying mobile and going where the fish are based on safe daily conditions. Locations vary within North Padre and surrounding areas; meet-up details are sent in advance. Advanced teens build performance skills: rig selection by conditions, consistent knot/leader work, presentation (bait/lure), reading structure and water movement, tide/wind influence, landing technique, ethical harvest/release, and stewardship. League competitions provide prize opportunities (gear, gift cards, and Foundation swag). Registration includes a custom League fishing shirt/hat. All necessary gear is provided; personal labeled gear welcome. Weeknights: water bottle + snack recommended. Weekend/full-day days: packed lunch + drinks required. Transportation may be available/arranged separately (limited availability). Scholarships may be available. Weather/safety changes may require reschedules/make-ups when possible. Note: local tournaments beyond scheduled League competition days may require parents/guardians to pay entry fees. Coach note: coaches may recommend moving a participant between Beginner/Advanced for readiness and safety.
