Dock-to-Dune Week Camp (12–17yr)

Service Description

Dock-to-Dune Week Camp is our full-week “everything camp” for motivated teens who want a complete saltwater skill set. We fish across surf, bays, jetties, beaches, banks, piers, boats (depending on availability) and docks—adapting tactics daily and going where the fish are based on conditions. Meet-up locations may change daily within North Padre and surrounding areas as we follow tides, wind, surf, water clarity, and access. Families receive the daily meet-up details in advance. We keep the camp mobile so we never limit a fisher’s opportunity. Teens build capability through coached, hands-on practice: smart rig selection, knots and leaders, bait/lure presentation, reading structure and water movement, tide/wind influence, landing technique, ethical harvest/release, and stewardship. Select sessions may include hands-on guest appearances from local experts and mentors (guides, conservation partners, experienced anglers, and community leaders). Guest participation varies by date and availability. Final Day Highlight: we finish with a chef-led “catch-to-kitchen” experience—seafood safety, respectful handling, and simple cooking—preparing our catch with a local chef guest mentor. We provide all necessary fishing equipment (rods, reels, tackle, bait as needed, and program gear). Teens may bring their own labeled gear if preferred. Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided. If food sensitivities or restrictions apply, this will need to be noted at signup - severe allergy students may need to have alternate accommodations. Limited transportation between fishing sites may be available to support staying mobile. Transportation to/from meet-up locations may be arranged separately if needed (limited availability; we’ll confirm after booking). Income-based scholarships are available for qualifying families (apply online). Weather & Safety: Conditions can change quickly. We may adjust locations/times/activities for safety. If a day is canceled due to weather or safety, we may reschedule or offer a make-up option when possible.
