WHY VOLUNTEERS MATTER

This is bigger than fishing.

Fishing is the hook—confidence is the outcome. When a young person learns to read water, tie a knot, land a fish, and respect the coast, something shifts. They stand taller. They believe they belong. They learn discipline, patience, and responsibility.

At Over the Bridge Future Fishers, volunteers are the difference between a kid “trying something once” and a kid finding a lifelong path outdoors—with mentors who show up and pour into them.
