Service Description
OTB Fall Club/League – Grades 2nd–8th Season runs the week of August 31 through the week of November 16, ending before Thanksgiving Break. OTB Fall Club/League is designed for all skill levels—from complete beginners to experienced young anglers—and is structured like a youth sports league focused on mentorship, teamwork, stewardship, and real fishing experience. Each youth will be placed into a Club/League group assigned to a weekday immediately after school until approximately 5:30 PM. Final days will be determined through parent scheduling polls and school coordination prior to launch. Families interested in attending additional weekly sessions may contact OTB directly regarding expanded participation options (separate fee may apply). In addition to weekday sessions, Club/League groups may have opportunities for weekend fishing, special events, tournaments, conservation activities, and select boat experiences as available. Weekend opportunities may occasionally include extended/full-day outings. League point systems and competitions are intended to encourage participation, consistency, and continued time on the water. Competitive participation is optional, and parents may opt their youth out of tournament or competitive components if preferred. Fishing locations vary throughout North Padre and surrounding areas based on weather, tides, safety, and fishing conditions. Locations are announced in advance and may include bays, surf, docks, piers, banks, and jetties when appropriate. Registration includes an official OTB Club/League shirt. Necessary gear is available if needed; personal labeled gear is welcome. Parent volunteers are greatly needed and may volunteer through Seashore Schools or directly through the OTB Volunteer Hub. Club/league days affected by holidays, weather, or safety concerns may have make-up opportunities offered when possible. OTB is building more than fishing—we are building confidence, stewardship, leadership, and community through time on the water.
