Over the Bridge Future Fishers Foundation is more than just a nonprofit organization; it is a grassroots movement born from a shared love for the Texas Coastal Bend.
Our name is rooted in the powerful local experience we all share—that iconic journey "over the bridge" from Corpus Christi into the stunning expanse of the Gulf and Laguna Madre. We exist to ensure that journey remains magical for the next generation. We bridge the gap between enjoying these waters and protecting them, using the environment as our classroom and fishing as our connection point.

We were founded on a simple premise: the best people to protect our backyard are the people who live here.
Unlike massive national organizations with steep operating costs and distant headquarters, Over the Bridge is a lean, volunteer-driven effort fueled entirely by local momentum. We don't just have community support; we are built on community strength.
Our pillar is the belief that when local businesses, seasoned anglers, civic leaders, and families "buy in" to a shared vision, incredible things happen. We are committed to ensuring that resources raised locally stay local, creating visible, tangible differences—cleaner jetties, healthier seagrass, and confident kids—right here where we live.
A Coalition for Conservation
Our mission—to empower youth as stewards through fishing education and outdoor adventure—is not carried out by a large staff, but by a powerful coalition of neighbors.
Our programs thrive because of deep local partnerships. We actively collaborate with the small businesses that power our coastal economy, city leaders shaping our future, and conservation agencies like Texas Parks & Wildlife.
When a local guide volunteers a Saturday to mentor a child, or a local tackle shop donates gear for a tournament, they aren't just helping a charity; they are investing in the future of their own community. We aren't just teaching kids to catch fish; we are uniting the Coastal Bend to safeguard our home for generations to come.
